Schild Estate Barossa Valley Moscato 2021 (often bottled simply as Schild Estate Moscato) is a light, sweet, gently fizzy white that’s all about floral lift, ripe fruit and refreshing drinkability – a classic Barossa take on Moscato. Clear, bright and pale lemon with green tinges and a slight spritz, it shows a fragrant, layered perfume of elderflower, white iris, lemon citrus and nectarine, with white peach and tropical mangosteen also in the mix.

On the palate it’s light‑bodied, soft and sweet but well‑balanced, with juicy white peach and tropical fruit flavours carried by a gentle grapey sweetness and a slight textural fullness from retained natural grape sugar. Fresh acidity and the light effervescence keep things lively, while a powder‑puff sherbet lift at the end makes for a fun, refreshing finish that’s perfect well‑chilled. It’s very much a drink‑now style, at its best in the first few years while that floral and fruity exuberance is high.

Food‑wise, Schild Estate Moscato 2021 is great with fresh fruit, pavlova, light citrus tarts, soft cheeses or even spicy Thai salads if you like a little sweetness against chilli.
