You can expect a core of blackcurrant, blackberry and dark plum, layered with cassis, cedar, tobacco leaf, bay, menthol, peppercorns and dark chocolate, with some earthy, graphite‑like complexity. Fermented in small open vats and matured in French hogsheads with a good portion of new oak, the palate is medium‑ to full‑bodied, firm and fine‑grained, showing savoury dark fruit, spice and cocoa carried by structured tannins and fresh acidity for a long, dry, authoritative finish.
