It is a full-bodied, fruit-driven expression built for immediate enjoyment.
Dark cherry, blackberry and plum lead the charge, lifted by cracked pepper, aniseed, dried herbs and a flicker of mocha. The palate is juicy and plush rather than heavy, with savoury black olive, liquorice and subtle oak spice adding depth. Fine, velvety tannins give the Kay Brothers Shiraz 2023 a long, satisfying finish.
Pour this McLaren Vale Shiraz alongside chargrilled rib-eye, slow-roasted lamb shoulder or sticky beef ribs, where its dark-fruit intensity and peppery savouriness shine.
