Juniper Estate Aquitaine Rouge

Juniper Estate Aquitaine Rouge 2021 is a highly regarded red Bordeaux-style blend from the Margaret River region of Western Australia. It is a medium-bodied to full-bodied wine displaying bright crimson red color and complex aromas of Damson plum, dried sage, tobacco leaf, and sweet nutty French oak. The palate is svelte and expansive with flavors of red cherry, red currant, toasted spice, and fine herbs. It has fine velvety tannins, fresh acidity, and perfectly integrated oak, creating a wine of length and distinction. This wine is sourced from sustainably farmed, dry-grown vines on their original Wilyabrup single vineyard. It has excellent aging potential, recommended for cellaring from 2024 through 2035. It pairs well with slow-cooked lamb shoulder or vegan Bolognese. It received 93 points and is praised for its harmonious balance and elegance.
