Gilbert Pinot Noir Regional 2023 from Simon and Will Gilbert is a vibrant, cool‑climate Pinot drawn from high‑altitude vineyards around Orange in New South Wales, showing the family’s six generations of know‑how in a beautifully drinkable regional expression.
Red cherry, strawberry, tangy rhubarb and a dusting of peppery spice roll into a light to medium‑bodied palate loaded with ripe strawberry, plum, amaro‑like bitterness and a lick of dusty graphite tannin, finishing with juicy blood‑orange lift and impressive length.
This Gilbert Pinot Noir Regional 2023 is spot on with duck breast, mushroom risotto or a good charcuterie spread, its sappy freshness and savoury edge cutting through richness and shining at any casual dinner or weekend lunch.
