Gérard Bertrand ‘Heritage Picpoul’ Piquepoul Blanc 2024 is a brilliantly fresh southern French white from Gérard Bertrand, capturing the Mediterranean brightness of Picpoul de Pinet in every lively, sea-spray-scented glass. It is the ideal bottle for seafood feasts, sunshine and anyone who loves dry whites with serious zip.
Zingy lemon, lemon verbena and grapefruit lead the aroma, followed by white peach, white flowers and a faint touch of petrichor. The Gérard Bertrand Heritage Picpoul 2024 is dry and unoaked, with a silky mid-palate, brisk citrus drive, savoury bay and thyme nuances, plus a stony, saline finish that keeps you reaching back.
This Piquepoul Blanc is made for oysters, fresh prawns, chargrilled squid and delicate white fish. Try it alongside calamari, pan-fried scallops, sushi, Greek-style salads or goat cheese. Its racy acidity slices through fried seafood and creamy sauces beautifully, while its mineral freshness makes it a stellar aperitif served properly chilled.
