Domaine Naturaliste Sauvage Sauvignon Blanc
Domaine Naturaliste Sauvage Sauvignon Blanc 2024 (12 Bottles) Margaret River, WA
About this product
Domaine Naturaliste Sauvage Sauvignon Blanc 2024 from Bruce Dukes in Margaret River is a serious, wild‑fermented Sauvignon Blanc that shows why this label has been crowned Sauvignon Blanc of the Year in Australia – it’s all tension, texture and precision from the cooler southern Wallcliffe/Wallcliffe‑style fruit. This Domaine Naturaliste Sauvage Sauvignon Blanc 2024 layers concentration and finesse, sitting well above typical regional Savvy in both complexity and class.
Bold aromas of redcurrant, passionfruit and orange blossom are laced with lychee, clove and subtle herbal tones, underpinned by pear and nectarine aromatics that come up with time in bottle. The palate is creamy and mouth‑filling from wild ferment and 10 months sur lie in 500L French oak puncheons (around one‑third new), delivering cashew, vanilla slice and pink grapefruit pith over scintillating, saline acidity and a long, mineral, oyster‑shell finish. It’s savoury, dry and vibratory – a benchmark modern fumé‑style Sauvignon with real drive and poise.
This is built for the table: think roast chicken, chargrilled veal chops or fish with real character, where the texture and succulence wrap beautifully around richer flavours. It’s also superb with pan‑seared fish, grilled squid, goat’s cheese tarts and premium prawns or oysters, especially when there’s a citrus and herb twist to echo the wine’s energy. Serve lightly chilled – around 12–14 degrees – to let those layered citrus, tropical and savoury notes really sing.
