In the glass you’re looking at light gold with green flashes and a lifted nose of white flowers, elderflower, fresh nectarine, nashi pear, quince, green apple, peach, sweet chamomile and citrus rind. The palate is dry, mid–weight and beautifully integrated, with ripe peach, apple and pear flowing into bright layers of kumquat and lemon curd, framed by fresh acidity, gentle phenolic grip and a delicately mineral edge that hints at crushed seashells and coastal salinity. It’s vibrant, elegant and quietly complex – a superb everyday Margaret River chardonnay that drinks well now but will reward a few years in bottle.
