The nose is dark and savoury, showing black cherry, mulberry and plum, layered with cracked pepper, dried herbs and earthy undertones. On the palate it is structured and concentrated, with ripe dark fruit, firm yet polished tannins and a spine of fresh acidity that keeps everything in check. Subtle oak adds shape rather than sweetness, leading to a long, savoury finish. Clément Lavallée Irancy Cuvée Ephémère #1 La Grande Côte 2020 feels purposeful and built to evolve.
