About this product
Briar Ridge Vineyards Old Vines Shiraz 2023, Briar Ridge Vineyard, Hunter Valley and Orange. This 2023 Old Vines Shiraz draws from the winery’s oldest Shiraz vines, blending fruit from 40-year-old Hunter Valley and 30-year-old Orange vineyards. The nose dazzles with lifted violet aromas and a hint of white pepper, leading into a palate of rich, juicy red fruits balanced by bright, crunchy acidity. Fine-grained and silky tannins provide excellent structure and length, enhanced by clove and aniseed oak spice notes. This easy-drinking yet refined Shiraz is perfect now and has potential for short-term cellaring. It pairs beautifully with nutty cheeses or beef spare ribs.
