Atze’s Corner Bachelor Shiraz

Atze’s Corner Bachelor Shiraz 2023 is a confident, deeply coloured Barossa Valley Shiraz from Atze’s Corner, sourced from low-yielding Koonunga and Ebenezer vineyards where brown clay loam and red clay soils bring richness, perfume and structure. It is a generous 100% Shiraz with polish, power and genuine regional character.

Raspberry and red plum aromas open the wine, with darker berry fruit, vanilla, toasted bread, clove and white pepper following through. The Atze’s Corner Bachelor Shiraz 2023 is mouthfilling and smooth, combining ripe fruit with a subtle oak frame, supple ripe tannins and savoury spice. Its 14.5% alcohol adds warmth without overwhelming its bright Barossa fruit profile.

Serve this full-bodied Barossa Shiraz at 16°C with Wagyu steak, grilled lamb cutlets, slow-roasted shoulder or smoky barbecue ribs. Its ripe tannin, sweet spice and generous fruit make it an excellent red for hearty food, while the plush, balanced finish gives it the sort of drinkability that makes a second bottle very tempting.
