Alkina Striato Shiraz 2023 is a striking, site-driven Barossa Shiraz from Alkina’s Greenock estate, blending two limestone-influenced Polygon parcels for a deeply perfumed, structured and remarkably refined expression of the variety.

Blackberry pastille, blueberry, dark cherry and black olive meet dried herbs, cured meat, graphite, espresso, cocoa and Asian spice. The 2023 Alkina Striato Shiraz is concentrated yet medium-weight, delivering a supple glide of red and blue fruit before firm, chalky tannins and savoury minerality build through the long dry finish.

Decant this serious Barossa Shiraz for an hour, then pour it beside charcoal-grilled rib-eye, slow-roasted lamb, venison loin, duck breast or mushroom-and-black-olive ragù.
