Our Family have been living and loving this land for 200 years. We breathe the world’s cleanest air and are surrounded by 4 wild rivers and five private forest reserves.

This pristine environment and our connection to the land allows us to consistently make some of Tasmania’s finest Pinot Noir.

We are a small 5th generation family owned vineyard since 1875, located in Cranbrook on Tasmania’s stunning Freycinet Coast.

At Spring Vale, our grapes are grown with an in depth knowledge of our local terroir. Intimate attention to quality and flavour, allows us to produce premium, award-winning wines at our on-site winery.

Our Cellar Door is open for wine sales and tastings 11am-4pm daily.

Milton Vineyard was first farmed in 1826 initially for fine Tasmanian wool but is now producing fine cool climate wines. We are located at 42 Degrees South on the dry sunny Freycinet Coast of Tasmania. The grapes are grown on free draining red loam liberally sprinkled with dolerite rocks.
Tasmania lends itself to boutique vineyards.

Our vineyard has a unique micro-climate that suits the ancient grape Pinot Noir. Also in our 19 hectare vineyard are plantings of the aromatics Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Gewurztraminer. Our focus is on producing small quantities of handmade wine. Close attention is paid to every detail in the vineyard and the wines represent this exacting work.

Located locally, this cellar door is open for wine tastings of private label wines often not found in retail stores. Ask for the limited released wines from this cellar doors’ vineyard. Ask for local grown cheese and fruit platters to complement your wines. Cellar Door bookings and winery tours may be required so be sure to call in advance.
