Tempranillo Wine

Tempranillo is Australia’s exciting take on Spain’s iconic red grape, known for its medium body, juicy red fruits, and fresh acidity. Aussie examples, especially from regions like Adelaide Hills and the Hunter Valley, tend to be fruit-forward with vibrant cherry, plum, and subtle spice, often without heavy oak influence. This makes them lively, approachable, and food-friendly, perfect for everything from tapas to roast lamb. Tempranillo’s natural balance of fruit and structure, plus its soft tannins, make it a versatile red that’s gaining serious momentum down under. Give it a go if you want something a little different but utterly delicious.
