Kay Brothers Cuthbert Cabernet Sauvignon 2023, crafted by winemaker Duncan Kennedy in McLaren Vale, is a beautifully poised Cabernet that combines generous dark fruit with refined, savoury detail. Released only in top vintages, Cuthbert captures the cooler season’s elegance, delivering serious flavour without the heaviness of a bigger red.
Mulberry, blueberry and blackcurrant mingle with violet, leafy freshness and cedar, while graphite, tobacco and sweet spice bring depth. The palate is medium-bodied, with finely layered tannins giving shape to its plush fruit. The 2023 Kay Brothers Cuthbert Cabernet Sauvignon finishes with satisfying persistence and a polished, savoury edge.
Serve it with chargrilled beef, venison or rosemary-roasted lamb, letting the savoury flavours complement its dark berries and cedar notes.
