So stoked with this, a super savoury rendition of old vine Grenache with roots down in DEEP sand, 5km from the ocean. Destemmed and soaked for 4 days, then gentle pump overs when needed and pressed off after 7 days. Elevage in tank, bottled in December 2023.
Nose is tight upon opening, loves oxygen and a splash, or a gentle decant to reveal whiffs of raspberry and alpine herbs, or maybe coastal scrub is more apt? In a good way, theres some musk. The palate is savoury and moreish. Freeze dried raspberries, crunchy red apple, with a touch of anise. Balanced acidity with lovely fine tannin. Maintains strong varietal character in a light and savoury frame. Top Shelf.
