Balgownie Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is a commanding Bendigo Cabernet from Balgownie Estate’s long-established Maiden Gully vineyards, where nearly 50-year-old vines bring natural concentration, detail and impressive cellaring potential. Crafted by Tony Winspear, it is a classic Victorian red with refinement, savoury complexity and real presence in the glass.
Blackcurrant, cassis and dark plum lead the aromatics, lifted by cedar, tobacco leaf, choc-mint and earthy spice. The Balgownie Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 has vibrant red and black fruit at its core, framed by French oak and tightly woven, ripe tannins. Layered savoury flavours build through a long, structured finish.
Put this elegant Bendigo Cabernet Sauvignon beside a roast rack of lamb with Dijon mustard, beef Wellington, grilled porterhouse or venison. Its structured tannins soften beautifully with protein and its dark-fruit freshness cuts through rich sauces. Decant for an hour when drinking now, or cellar confidently for a decade or more.
