Quilty & Gransden Merlot 2024 from Quilty & Gransden is a plush, polished Orange red that makes a strong case for cool-climate Merlot, combining vibrant fruit, floral lift and easy-going drinkability in one seriously satisfying bottle.
The Quilty and Gransden Merlot opens with fragrant cherry, redcurrant and violet, then rolls into ripe plum, soft red berries and a gentle brush of brambly spice. Fine tannins and bright regional freshness give this medium-bodied red a smooth, rounded feel and a nicely lingering finish.
Serve this Orange Merlot alongside lamb cutlets, roast duck, wood-fired pizza or pappardelle with a rich tomato ragù. Its soft structure and ripe fruit also make it a beauty with mushroom dishes and aged pecorino – a versatile, crowd-pleasing Australian Merlot ready for any midweek feast.
