About this product
Atticus Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 from Atticus Wines in Margaret River is a superbly poised, mature Cabernet from a near‑perfect season – layered with classic regional fruit, fine French oak and supple tannins. Consultant winemaker Richard Rowe has crafted a refined, structured red that is right in its drinking sweet spot.
The bouquet opens with blackcurrant, cassis, mulberry and black plum, lifted by bay leaf, violet and a touch of dried mint. Bottle age adds cigar box, pencil shavings, cedar, tobacco, coffee and cocoa, giving Atticus Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 plenty of savoury complexity without losing its vibrant fruit core.
This Atticus Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon is a brilliant partner for rare roast beef, herb‑crusted lamb rack, venison, beef Wellington or a sharp aged cheddar. Give it a short decant and serve with a generous plate of food – the wine’s powdery tannins, bright acidity and developed cedar notes make every mouthful feel polished, complete and seriously satisfying.
