Plantagenet Icon ‘Lionel Samson’ Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 by Plantagenet from Mount Barker shows deep ruby-red colour with brambled fruit aromas evolving into cassis, mulberry, bay leaf, olive tapenade and tobacco over time. The palate is precise, composed, showing concentrated dark fruit, earthy spice and leafiness with fine, polished tannins and excellent structure. It was awarded 98 points by Ray Jordan and 97 points (Special Value) in the Halliday Awards.
