On the nose, Magpie Hill Reserve Cabernet 2024 offers cassis, blackcurrant and just‑ripe plum with crushed redcurrant, raspberry, red cherry, saltbush, wild sage and white pepper, plus hints of milk chocolate and baking spice. The palate is bright and tightly wound, showing lifted red forest berries, cassis and blood‑orange zest over lacy, silty, velvet‑like tannins and fine, cool‑climate acidity, giving a long, complex, elegantly structured finish that will unfurl with time.
