Bardolino

Bardolino is a historic and distinctive wine region located in the province of Verona, on the eastern shore of Lake Garda in northern Italy. The area’s winemaking heritage dates back to Roman times, with evidence of ancient vineyards and early wine production. The modern Bardolino DOC was established in 1968, covering several municipalities along the Venetian shore of Lake Garda and its hinterland. The region’s unique terroir is shaped by glacially formed morainic hills, diverse soils, and the moderating influence of Lake Garda, which tempers temperature extremes and allows grapes to achieve full ripeness even in a relatively cool climate.
