Magarey Lane Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 is a rich, full‑bodied single‑vineyard Cabernet from Reschke fruit in classic terra rossa over limestone, absolutely packed with dark fruit and Coonawarra polish. It is plush yet structured, built to impress now and reward long cellaring.

In the glass, expect deep crimson to inky black colour, with concentrated blackcurrant, plum and dark cherry layered with cassis, bay leaf, cedar, chocolate, coffee and a touch of vanilla bean. The palate is dense and fruit‑driven but beautifully balanced – rich black and red fruits, smooth oak and a chalky, gripping tannin line that carries a long, dry, elegant finish.

On the table, this Coonawarra Cabernet is a natural for roast lamb, grilled ribeye, slow‑cooked beef or venison, where its cassis, bay leaf and chocolatey notes really sing. It will also shine with hard aged cheddar or mature gouda, and has the structure to evolve gracefully through the late 2020s and well into the 2030s.
