About this product
The Story Wines Grampians Grenache 2023 from Rory Lane in Victoria’s Grampians is a vibrant, medium‑bodied expression, drawn from young Arrawatta Vineyard vines in a cool, late‑ripening year that gives the wine terrific tension and finesse. This 2023 Grampians Grenache is all fragrant red fruits and savoury charm, capturing the modern Australian Grenache style beautifully.
In the glass, it’s perfumed and smoky with waves of red berries, spice and a gentle, moreish savoury edge. You’ll find pretty red‑berried fruit, floral lift, herb‑laced tannins and a touch of roasted chestnut complexity humming through the palate. Natural ferment and old large‑format oak keep everything pure, bright and incredibly drinkable.
On the table, it’s a cracking match with herb‑crusted lamb chops, grilled pork with a cherry or plum glaze, or Mediterranean‑style roast vegetables and ratatouille. It will also sing alongside mushroom risotto, roast chicken with thyme or a good Manchego and charcuterie spread at the end of the night. Versatile, savoury and moreish, it’s a go‑to mid‑week dinner and long‑lunch Grenache.
