Mulline Portarlington Pinot Noir 2024 is a finely detailed and taut single-vineyard wine from Nurringa Park on the Bellarine Peninsula, just a kilometre from the sea. The wine features 30% whole bunches which contribute lifted spice and a gentle grip, complemented by a polished structure from 25% new French oak maturation. Aromas of red cherry, pomegranate, wild herbs, and subtle earthy spices are matched with a palate displaying effortless flow, vibrant red fruits, and a touch of new oak that frames but does not intrude. Critically acclaimed, it has received 96 points from Philip Rich (Halliday Wine Companion) and 93 points from The Wine Front, being praised for its precision, purity, and excellent aging potential. This release is regarded as one of the best Mulline Pinot Noirs of 2024.
